Open Range Breakout Bot — Automate the Session Range on MT5
Select the symbol, set the opening time, choose the timeframe and how many candles define the high and low. When a candle closes beyond that marked range, ORB Bot places the order in MetaTrader 5 — no Telegram signals, no manual box drawing.

What an Open Range Breakout Actually Is
After a session opens, the first stretch of price often forms a box: a high and a low. Traders watch for a later break of that box as a directional trigger. ORB Bot draws that box from your settings and waits for a confirming candle close — then it sends the trade to your MT5 terminal.
This is a different product from our Telegram to MT5 copier. The copier follows signal messages. ORB Bot follows the range you configured.

How ORB Bot Works — 5 Steps
Configure once per symbol and session. The bot marks the range, then waits for a close beyond it.
Select the symbol
Choose the currency pair or instrument you want ORB Bot to watch on your MT5 account.
Set the opening time
Define when the session starts. The range window begins from this clock time, not from whenever you attach the bot.
Choose timeframe & candle count
Pick the candle timeframe and how many candles after the open should build the range.
Mark high and low
The bot records the highest high and lowest low of those candles — that box is your opening range.
Trade the candle-close breakout
When a later candle closes above the high or below the low, ORB Bot places the matching order in MT5.
Built Around the Settings You Control
Symbol selection
Run Open Range Breakout on the pair or metal you actually trade, instead of a hard-coded instrument.
Session opening time
Align the range to London, New York, or any custom open that matches your playbook.
Timeframe control
Build the range on the candle size you specify — not a one-size-fits-all chart.
Candle count for the range
Decide how many candles after the open define the high and the low before breakout logic starts.
Close-beyond-range trigger
Orders fire when a candle closes above or below the marked range, with further confirmation options available.
Risk, trailing & session filters
Tune stop, target, trailing, and session behaviour so the breakout is executed the way you sized it — not as a raw market order dump.
Why Traders Run ORB as Its Own Bot
No signal dependency
ORB Bot does not wait on a Telegram channel. It reads your MT5 chart, builds the range from your rules, and acts when price confirms.
Session logic you can audit
Opening time, timeframe, and candle count are explicit. You can replay a session and see why the range was drawn where it was.
Breakout confirmation, not a wick chase
A spike through the high or low is not enough. The default trigger is a candle close beyond the marked range.

What is an Open Range Breakout (ORB) strategy?
An Open Range Breakout strategy defines a price range from a set of candles after a chosen opening time — typically the high and low of those candles. A trade is taken when price later breaks that range. ORB Bot automates that process on MetaTrader 5.
How does the bot decide when the range is broken?
By default it waits for a candle to close above the marked high or below the marked low. A wick through the range is not enough on its own — the close is what confirms the breakout. Additional confirmation and risk settings are configurable.
Do I need Telegram signals to use ORB Bot?
No. ORB Bot is a rule-based strategy engine, not a signal copier. You select the symbol, session opening time, timeframe, and candle count. It builds the range and executes from price action on your MT5 chart.
Which symbols and sessions can I use?
You choose the currency or instrument in the app, then set the opening time that matches the session you trade — for example London or New York. The same workflow applies across symbols your MT5 broker offers.
Is this a separate product from the Telegram to MT5 copier?
Yes. The Telegram copier reads trading signals from channels and groups. ORB Bot trades your configured opening-range rules on MT5. They are licensed separately; ORB Bot is a one-time lifetime purchase.
Does ORB Bot guarantee profits?
No. Opening-range breakouts can fail, especially around news or thin liquidity. Trading involves significant risk. Always validate your range settings on a demo account before going live.
Ready to automate your opening range?
Configure the symbol, open, timeframe, and candle window on demo first. Move to live only when the marked range and close-beyond trigger match your rules.
